Nature and biodiversity are now a big focus for businesses, investors and regulators globally, with increasing recognition that nature loss poses both risks and opportunities.
TheTaskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures(TNFD) was established to provide better information to allow financial institutions and companies to incorporate nature-related risks and opportunities into their strategic planning, risk management and asset allocation decisions.
To mark the release of the official TNFD recommendations, RIAA, as Convenor of the official TNFD Consultation Group for Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, is delighted to invite members of partner organisations to an exclusive in-person launch event at New South Wales Parliament House. Please note attendance is limited to one person per organisation.
This event marks a significant milestone in the development of a global framework to measure and report on nature-related financial risks, opportunities, impacts and dependencies.
We will be joined in person by New South Wales Minister for the Environment, the Honorable Penny Sharpe and Executive Director of the TNFD, Tony Goldner. Australian Minister for the Environment and Water, The Hon Tanya Plibersek MP, will join us by video.
Formal proceedings will be followed by a networking lunch.
