As part of a broader consultation process, the Commission is seeking investor feedback on the paper's recommendations against key goals and topic areas:
- the critical human rights engaged by new and emerging technologies
- regulatory approaches and ethical frameworks
- the use of AI in decision-making so it is accountable
- a new national leadership for AI and proposed AI Safety Commissioner
- accessibility of new technologies for people with disability
The stakeholder engagement is underpinned by the Commission's principles:
- AI should be used in ways that comply with human rights law
- AI should be used in ways that minimise harm
- AI should be accountable in how it is used.
RIAA encourages you to engage your chief information, data, human resources or risk officer and other relevant stakeholders to take part in the presentation on May 4 and participate in the consultation on May 12 if appropriate.
