We are excited to announce the return of the RIAA Conference Australia in 2024! Join us on the 1 & 2 May at the ICC Sydney or online for the largest responsible investment gathering in the Southern Hemisphere.

Why Attend? With growing demand for responsible investment, coupled with an increasingly robust regulatory environment and the evident benefits of sound practices, the RIAA Conference Australia 2024 is a must-attend event for finance, sustainability, and industry practitioners to navigate the race through ESG growth and tightening regulations.

Over two full days, we'll unpack a broad range of topics including:

  • Greenwashing: A view from the regulator
  • Navigating geopolitics: Responsible Investors' risk in an uncertain world
  • Stewardship and active corporate engagement
  • What is 'Nature Positive' anyway? RIAA's Nature Working Group
  • Net zero energy speedway: fact or fiction?
  • Paving the way for First Nations Investment Markets: Insights from RIAA's First Nations Peoples' Rights Working Group
  • DE&I: The case for Disability, Equity, and Inclusion
  • TechRights Nexus: The intersection of Digital Tech, including AI, and Human Rights: RIAA's Human Rights Working Group
  • Ethics in ethical advice? Financial Adviser hurdles
  • Workplace culture: A race to productivity, retention, and bottom line
  • Modern slavery risk and reporting: where to from here?

Our commitment to delivering a valuable and informative conference experience is backed by the feedback from our RI Australia Conference 2023. According to our survey, 96% of attendees said that the quality of speakers exceeded or met their expectations. Here's what some of our conference attendees had to say:

  • "The conference had an excellent offering of speakers and content, which seems to improve each year."
  • "So much valuable information and knowledge gained that I will be able to use in my work."
  • "A great investment of time to learn and connect with RI colleagues."

In 2024, you can join us in person at the International Convention Centre Sydney or virtually by streaming the event online, with on-demand access available after the event.

PLEASE NOTE: Sessions in the Pyrmont Theatre and Breakout Room 1 (C2.2-C2.3) will be streamed via the online conference platform for those attending virtually, and recorded. Sessions in Breakout Room 2 C2.5-C2.6 are in-person only, and will not be streamed or recorded.

Join us for the conference dinner!

Extend your conference beyond the sessions and connect with like-minded professionals in a relaxed setting. This exclusive dinner will be held on-site at the ICC in the Parkside Ballroom on 1 May. An additional ticket is required to attend the dinner.

REFUND POLICY

As the Convenor of the Australia and New Zealand TNFD Consultation Group, RIAA is pleased to partner with Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) to invite RIAA members and PRI Signatories to an exclusive Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) Implementation Forum, hosted by EY.

This is an opportunity to learn from Australia's leading experts on nature-related disclosures, as well as from the Executive Director of Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures, Tony Goldner.

To be opened by Estelle Parker (Co-CEO, RIAA) and an address by Tony Goldner (Executive Director, TNFD), the event will then follow on to hear about lessons from Australian pilots on nature disclosures and then TNFD implementation. RIAA's Nature Working Group co-chair, Guy Williams (Executive Director, Pollination) will facilitate a panel on Building the business case for action on nature.

Attendees will gain an understanding of the regulatory landscape for nature disclosures; lessons from TNFD pilot projects; how to apply TNFD in practice; and how to make the case for TNFD reporting within your organisation.

Please contact RIAA or PRI for further details.
