The Responsible Investment Association Australasia’s Impact Investment Forum is holding a full-day impact investing workshop and field trip for investors, trustees and advisers in Auckland on Friday 13 April.

The workshop and field trip, supported by Philanthropy New Zealand and Giving Architects, will provide a unique opportunity to do a deep dive into impact investing as well as get out into the field to meet with pioneering impact investors, investees and key players in this growing field.

Why attend?

Impact investing is the ‘new black’ of the finance world, increasingly attracting the attention of investors with an interest in delivering positive social and environmental outcomes alongside financial returns.
Participants on the Auckland workshop and field trip will engage in a full day exploration of impact investing from institutional and private wealth perspectives. They will hear from pioneers in New Zealand’s nascent impact investing market including the Tindall Foundation and the New Zealand Government, and learn from Brightlight Impact Advisory how Australia’s Christian Super has built up an impact investment portfolio that earned it the award of 2017 Asset Owner of the Year by the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment.

Workshop themes include how to constructing a portfolio that delivers measurable positive impact and unpacking different asset classes for impact. The field trip will include visits to different organisations and programs financed through impact investments.

This is an exceptional opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the growing market for impact investments, and where the risks and opportunities lie.
