How can investors engage with companies to prevent and address human rights abuses? RIAA's Human Rights Working Group is an initiative to support members in their stewardship responsibilities respecting human rights in their business operations and their portfolio of companies.

Join us for our first meeting of 2023 where we'll be diving into the topics of inequality, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and human rights and armed conflict, plus sharing updates on other key topics like modern slavery.

Joanne Bauer, Co-founder of Rights CoLab and Interim Secretariat of the TIFD, will present on the Task Force on Inequality-related Financial Disclosures (TIFD), which seeks to empower companies and investors to measure and manage their impacts on inequality, as well as inequality's impacts on company and investor performance. We will also hear findings from Rights CoLab's research, What is DEI? Market Signals of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

We will also do a deep dive on the draft Investor Guide to Issues Arising from Armed Conflict, prepared by our Human Rights and Armed Conflict subgroup (led by Kate Turner, First Sentier Investors), in partnership with the Australian Red Cross, and share other key industry updates.
