Providing remedy to victims of modern slavery is a significant challenge for investors. RIAA's Human Rights Working Group is pleased to host a 30-minute lunchtime session for all members with Carsten Primdal, a sustainability, ESG and modern slavery expert, who will unpack this issue.

Carsten is one of few advisors in the region with hands-on experience remediating child labour and slavery-like working conditions on site in Asia and brings a practical approach to mitigation and remediation. Since 2020 he has been working with the Australian Catholic Anti-Slavery Network (ACAN) to establish the Domus 8.7 service offering, a comprehensive service to provide remedy to victims of modern slavery.

Carsten's presentation will be followed by the final Human Rights Working Group Meeting for 2021, which all members are invited to attend. Our meeting will share updates on the most important human rights risks for investors, including the launch of an updated version of our Investor Toolkit – Human Rights with a focus on supply chains – which continues to be downloaded nearly five hundred times a month.
