RIAA MEMBER-ONLY EVENT
On 28 March 2024, a landmark judgment was handed down by the Federal Court on greenwashing which looked at the how consumer protection laws are applied to ESG factors. This is a significant development and comes following a period of increased regulatory scrutiny.
RIAA is hosting a member-only webinar to delve into the current legal settings on greenwashing. This event will be held this Friday, 12 April 2024 at 1.30-2.30pm AEST.
The webinar will:
- Review regulatory matters in Australia.
- Discuss the Federal Court's findings in Australian Securities and Investments Commission v Vanguard Investments Australia Ltd [2024] FCA 308.
- Consider global trends in combatting greenwashing.
- Discuss RIAA's work in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand on greenwashing.
There will be time for Q&A. The webinar will be recorded for the member portal, excluding the Q&A.
Presenting at this webinar are senior legal practitioners from law firms King & Wood Mallesons and Mills Oakley, hosted by RIAA's Co-CEO Estelle Parker.
