CEO of Pathfinder Asset Management

John is an advocate for responsible investment and for greater transparency around investment products. He is CEO (and co-founder) of Pathfinder Asset Management, a boutique fund manager specialising in ethical investment. Pathfinder manages a range of ethical funds and also the CareSaver KiwiSaver Scheme.

John is a trustee of the Men’s Health Trust NZ. He is also an independent director of Punakaiki Fund (an investor in NZ growth and tech businesses) and a member of the Financial Advice Code Working Group.

Rachel is an adviser at Crestone Wealth Management, focusing on sustainable, impact and ESG investment, which has been the primary focus of her career for the last 13 years. She has worked closely with family offices and investors across Australia, the UK and the USA. Her central and long-held belief - that the financial markets will play a vital role in creating a more sustainable and equitable world - is at the core of everything she does. Rachel is also an active mentor of emerging female leaders and engaged in various philanthropic endeavours. She is an NED of Future Super and an Office Bearer with ACCR.

Alison joined Regnan in 2016 with responsibility for managing the engagement program, as well as supporting research and advocacy activities. She has worked in sustainability for over a decade and was formerly the Head of Sustainability at Westpac where she oversaw the development of ESG frameworks and policy. She has been a director of the UN Global Compact’s Australian Network and a member of the AA1000 technical standards committee. Alison has also held roles in corporate strategy in the financial sector and undertaken a number of sustainability consulting projects with leading UK organisations.

Alison holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Human Resource Management and Marketing, from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Organisational Communication from Charles Sturt University.

Emily is the Head of Impact at Future Super. Her team is responsible for connecting Future Super's investing and influencing to systems change against global warming and inequality. In 2019 Future Super was the first superannuation fund to achieve "climate positive" status for its FUM and it has continued to find new ways of harnessing the power of money to build a future worth retiring into. Previously she has worked in consulting and program design for nonprofits, philanthropists and corporate social responsibility programs. She holds an Advanced Masters of Social Impact through the Centre of Social Impact and Swinburne University and is a member of the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative (ASFI).

Simon operates at the intersection of economics, finance and sustainability and has extensive international experience as an economic adviser, investment analyst and sustainability consultant across finance, corporate and not for profit sectors.

Simon works with RIAA’s 240 member organisations with the goal of delivering on RIAA’s mission of promoting, advocating for, and supporting approaches to responsible investment that align capital with achieving a healthy and sustainable society, environment and economy.

Simon is active across the region and internationally in responsible investment and sustainable finance initiatives. He sits as Co-Chair of the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative, working group member of the NZ Sustainable Finance Forum, a member of the Global Sustainable Investment Alliance, the UN backed Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) Australia Network Advisory Committee, as well as a member of the National Advisory Board on Impact Investing in New Zealand.

Kate Turner is a Responsible Investment Specialist at First Sentier Investors. Kate supports the governance of responsible investment and integration of ESG factors across the organisation and engages with clients and stakeholders in Australia and New Zealand to communicate First Sentier’s approach to responsible investment. Prior to joining First Sentier Investors, Kate was an Associate Director at Sustainalytics leading its business in Australia and New Zealand, and has previously held roles at ICBC Standard Bank Plc in London and Baker & McKenzie in Sydney. Kate holds Bachelor of Laws degree and Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with First Class Honors and University Medal from the University of Technology, Sydney.
