Stephane is a principal of Alphinity Investment Management.
Stephane’s focus is on the Energy, Materials and Industrials sectors, as well as portfolio management oversight.
Stephane was previously a Vice President and Research Analyst for AllianceBernstein‘s Australian Equities fund covering the same sectors from 2005-2010. Stephane’s prior background was primarily in management consulting, having worked with McKinsey & Company from 1997 to 2002 in South Africa and Australia, leaving the firm as an Associate Principal. Prior to this, Stephane held Relationship Management roles within JP Morgan (Belgium) and Standard Corporate & Merchant Bank (South Africa). Stephane was also employed by SABMiller as Commercial Director Asia Pacific, ultimately responsible for launching and building a premium non-alcoholic beverage portfolio across the region. Stephane holds a Commercial Engineering degree (with high honors) from Universite Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. Stephane is fluent in French as well as German.

Seb Beloe is a Partner and Head of Research at WHEB Asset Management, one of the world’s leading sustainable investment businesses and manager of the Pengana WHEB Sustainable Impact Fund. Seb is widely recognised as an authority on sustainable investing. He has spent over twenty years working at the nexus of sustainability, business and investment including ten years at the consultancy and think-tank SustainAbility where he was a Board Director and Director of Research and Advocacy. He has spent a further ten years working in the financial sector, first at Henderson Global Investors and now at WHEB.

Seb is a senior member of WHEB’s investment team which is responsible for implementing the company’s investment strategy. He is also a seasoned public speaker having addressed audiences at the United Nations as well as a wide range of conferences on sustainable business and responsible and sustainable investment.

Seb is the lead author of WHEB’s award-winning impact reports, and has also been author or co-author of over twenty academic articles and reports on business, finance and sustainability. Seb is a member of SustainAbility’s Council, FutureFit’s Development Council and on the Investment Practices Steering Committee of the IIGCC. Seb has two degrees in Environmental Science and Environmental Technology and is a Chartered Environmentalist.

Tom King was involved in the formation of Nanuk in 2009 and is responsible for the management of the New World Fund. Tom has broad experience in equity funds management, investment banking and private equity. His was previously an investment manager at Consolidated Press Holdings Limited and prior to that held the position of Associate Director with NM Rothschild and Sons (Australia) Ltd where he was involved in a number of roles, primarily within Rothschild’s investment banking division. Tom has also worked as an equity investment analyst and as an industrial consultant. He holds a first class honours degree in Engineering from the University of Melbourne. Tom has also won an Olympic gold medal in sailing and has been awarded a medal of the Order of Australia.

David Nathanson (Co-Founder of BetaShares)

David co-founded BetaShares Capital in 2009 and, among other responsibilities, leads the firm’s ESG efforts. He has 25 years experience in the financial services and legal sectors, including time as a corporate lawyer at Freehills, and as an investment banker at Macquarie Bank and Goldman, Sachs & Co in New York. He is a director of Apex Capital Partners Pty Ltd, a financial services focused investment firm. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from University of NSW, and received an MBA from Stanford Business School.

Kim has over 14 years of extensive experience in global energy and infrastructure projects; assessing and managing investments in Australia, UK, Europe, North America and South America. She has expertise in a diverse range of infrastructure and renewable energy technologies including solar, wind, bioenergy, hydro, geothermal and energy storage.

Kim has significant funds management and investments experience from previous roles with Macquarie Capital, Origin Energy, Hastings Funds Management and having established her own investment advisory consultancy for private sector and government clients. Kim brings unique expertise to the Australian market to offer local investors access to a surging asset class.

Kim has a Masters of Behavioural Science from London School of Economics, a Bachelor of Laws from Sydney University, a Masters of Commerce (Environmental Economics) from UNSW and a Bachelor of Commerce from UNSW.

Cassandra has over 20 years experience in the Financial Services sector. She has worked for researchers & gatekeepers, banks and fund managers.

Cassandra brings rich experience in reviews and ratings, based on her time as Director of Research at CANSTAR, where she launched and lead the now industry-standard 5 Star Ratings. She was appointed to ASIC’s Consumer Advisory Panel. Most recently Cassandra ran a FinTech start-up.

At RIAA, Cassandra leads our Certification and Ratings Program and will build out our consumer-facing content and resources.

Cassandra has a Bachelor of Business, MBA and Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.
