Chris Croker, a Luritja man from Central Australia, is Managing Director of Impact Investment Partners (Impact IP) and has created an impact investment fund that empowers Indigenous Australians. Chris is passionate about closing the gap for Indigenous Australians through impact investing by building infrastructure that gives investors a good return while giving Indigenous communities access to reliable electricity, clean water and healthcare.

Karrina Nolan is descendant of the Yorta Yorta people in Victoria. She’s worked as an organiser, strategist, campaigner, facilitator, lobbyist and hip hop wrangler alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, young people and communities for over 25 years. She’s led programs and campaigns on women’s rights, globalisation and environmental justice with a focus on First Nations peoples. She has most recently been working with communities fighting for land justice and for the protection of country. Karrina has been building the power of her mob working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities building up capacity for self-determination in the context of economic development and climate change. Her work has focussed on supporting communities’ capacity to organise, act decisively, share knowledge and make informed decisions that take into account long-term community needs as well as country and culture.

Professor Robynne Quiggin is a Wiradjuri lawyer who has worked across legal and policy areas of relevance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians including financial services, consumer issues, human rights, governance, rights to culture, heritage and the arts. Robynne is a key advisor to the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative. Robynne has served on the board of Bangarra Dance Theatre, the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) and was formerly a Trustee of the Australian Museum. She currently chairs the Board of the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office and Westpac’s Indigenous Advisory Committee, and is a member of Westpac’s Stakeholder Advisory group and IAG’s Consumer Advisory Board.

Benson Saulo (32) is a descendant of the Wemba Wemba and Gunditjmara Aboriginal nations of Western Victoria, and New Ireland Province in Papua New Guinea.

Benson brings insight, passion and experience that he has develop throughout his working life from across corporate, not-for-profit and government sectors. In 2011, Benson was appointed the Australian Youth Representative to the United Nations in which he undertook a national engagement tour to gain a deeper understanding of issues impacting Australian youth. Benson then represented Australian youth at the 66th Session of the United Nations General Assembly as an accredited member of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Benson became the founding director of the National Indigenous Youth Leadership Academy (NIYLA), which engages young Indigenous Australians to develop and drive youth-led social action campaigns. NIYLA participants developed and launch ten social action campaigns focusing on suicide prevention, climate change, mental health and welcoming refugee and asylum seekers. Benson was selected to participate in the U.S. State Department’s International Leaders Program that enabled him to engage First Nation’s groups to explore leadership, economic development and cultural opportunities.

Benson was formally the Head of Partnerships - Investments at Australian Unity a Wealth and Capital Markets business. Benson’s focus was exploring private investing into Indigenous businesses to scale their impact through employment, financial empowerment and governance.

Benson’s work has been recognised as a finalist for Young Australian of the Year (VIC), Australian Human Rights Commission Medal for Youth and 2012 NAIDOC Youth of the Year. Benson is also a non-executive director of Innovation Unit ANZ and supports Impact Investing Australia’s Impact Ready Growth Grants and the Sidney Myer Family Trust Poverty and Disadvantage Grants.

Investment analysis and climate change/sustainability reporting have been the focus of Anna’s research and professional career for two decades. Her award-winning PhD case study examined the integration of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) accounting information in mainstream investment decisions and she continues to focus and publish her research in this field.

Shan has gained considerable research experience on non-financial information reporting and assurance. In Shan’s PhD thesis, she investigates the capital market benefits of integrated reporting including analysts’ forecasts. Shan has successfully produced five quality publications in the area of non-financial reporting and assurance and continues to work on a pipeline of research projects in this area.
