Brendan Sydes is an Australian environmental lawyer and law reform advocate. He was a principal lawyer and CEO at Environmental Justice Australia from 2005 to 2020 and now works as National Biodiversity Policy Adviser at the Australian Conservation Foundation, leading their work on national environmental law reform. He is a Senior Honorary Fellow of the University of Melbourne Law School where he teaches environmental law.
Michael Cornish is the Policy Lead with the Australian Land Conservation Alliance (ALCA), Australia’s peak body for private land conservation. Michael is a public policy professional with a background and experience in economics, law and legislative development, international relations, higher education, and environmental policy.
Guy Williams is an Executive Director at Pollination’s advisory team. Guy brings over 20 years’ experience at the leading edge of industry innovation and strategy in biodiversity and natural capital. Prior to joining Pollination, Guy held global roles at some of the largest consulting and advisory firms, as well as being an integral part in the development of many nature-related frameworks and standards such as the TNFD and SBTN. Guy serves on the membership of the Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosure, the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management and Species Survival Commission, and is an active supporter of the Science Based Targets Network. Guy possesses a deep interest in primate conservation, and the use of digital media and community-led storytelling to support effective conservation strategies.
