Ryan Korinke
Managing Director and Global Head of Sustainability at PIMCOMr. Korinke is a managing director and global head of sustainability, overseeing the business management of the firm's environmental, social, governance and sustainability efforts. He is a member of PIMCO’s executive office, contributing to firmwide strategic, financial and operational initiatives. Prior to this role, he was head of hedge fund and quantitative strategies, leading the growth and development of the firm’s discretionary and systematic absolute return strategies. He has also served as an account manager with institutional client servicing responsibility and as a product strategist for fixed income strategies. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2005, Mr. Korinke was with The Concord Group, a real estate investment advisory firm. He has 21 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. He received an undergraduate degree from Harvard University.
Jessie Pettigrew
Head of ESG and Sustainability at BTIn her role asHead of ESG and Sustainability Jessie’s focus is on development and implementation of sustainability initiatives for BT’s wealth products including super, investments and platforms. A key part of her role is communicating BT’s position and approach to members, customers and advisers, to assist the integration of sustainable investment principles.
Ross Piper
CEO of Christian SuperRoss Piper is the Chief Executive Officer of Christian Super. He has over 25 years of leadership and management experience in corporate and non-profit contexts. Prior to Ross’ appointment as Christian Super CEO in Jan 2018, he was COO with World Vision Australia and also served with World Vision International for several years in the Middle East and various countries of the former Yugoslavia.
During his career Ross has held a number of positions in the corporate sector, primarily in investment banking and mining. He was Head of Corporate Risk for Macquarie Group for several years, and his early professional experience was gained in the mining sector, where he worked in the area of Native Title and business development. He has served on several boards, including six years as a Board Member and Chair of AgroInvest Foundation, a large microfinance bank serving rural families in Serbia and Montenegro. He recently served for 2 years on the Advisory Board of the Shared Value Project in Australia.
Liza McDonald
Head of Responsible Investment at Aware SuperLiza McDonald, Head of Responsible Investments, Aware Super
Liza has over 20 years’ experience in the superannuation sector and is a specialist and passionate advocate for Responsible Investments and Sustainable Finance.
As Head of Responsible Investments , she has led the development and implementation of the Fund’s Responsible Investment policies, the execution of the Climate Change Strategy and also manages the ESG policy implementation including manager and asset class ESG reviews.
Liza joined Aware Super through our merger partner Health Super in December 2006 as an analyst in the Compliance, Legal and Risk Team. Before joining Aware Super, Liza held various roles at Mercer Legal where her primary focus was on trustee education and corporate secretarial duties.
Liza represents Aware Super on a number of working groups and committees including Investors Against Slavery & Trafficking APAC (IAST-APAC); ESG Research Australia; the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative (ASFI); the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA); 40:40 Vision; the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI) and the UN convened Global Investors for Sustainable Development Alliance (GISD).
Zsuzsa Banhalmi Zakar
Manager of Research at Responsible Investment Association AustralasiaZsuzsa joins RIAA as Manager, Research. Her role will be took look after the research efforts of the organisation, which includes ensuring the continued success of existing projects and reimagining RIAA’s research for the future.
Zsuzsa has an extensive track record as researcher, spending the last nine years in academia. She completed a PhD in sustainable finance and worked extensively with investors and the not-for-profit sector in the region on topics such as climate adaptation finance, blue finance, and the identification of environmental risks and opportunities. Prior to moving to Australia, she was a senior consultant for Deloitte in Europe where she was first exposed to the power of responsible investment and lending to make a positive difference. Zsuzsa is passionate about helping capital move into ventures that make investments responsible and our world more sustainable for present and future generations.
Simon O'Connor
CEO of Responsible Investment Association AustralasiaSimon operates at the intersection of economics, finance and sustainability and has extensive international experience as an economic adviser, investment analyst and sustainability consultant across finance, corporate and not for profit sectors.
Simon works with RIAA’s 450+ member organisations with the goal of delivering on RIAA’s mission of promoting, advocating for, and supporting approaches to responsible investment that align capital with achieving a healthy and sustainable society, environment and economy.
Simon is active across the region and internationally in responsible investment and sustainable finance initiatives. He sits as Co-Chair of the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative, working group member of the NZ Sustainable Finance Forum, a member of the Global Sustainable Investment Alliance, the UN backed Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) Australia Network Advisory Committee, as well as a member of the National Advisory Board on Impact Investing in New Zealand.
Estelle Parker
Executive Manager at Responsible Investment Association AustralasiaEstelle Parker leads RIAA’s research, certification, policy, standards and working group programs. She brings 20 years’ experience leading strategic initiatives as a diplomat, policy analyst, stakeholder manager and strategic planner with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Estelle has served, inter alia, as Acting Ambassador and Deputy Ambassador to Mexico, Central America and Cuba; Deputy State Director (Victoria); Policy Adviser to the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands; and as Director overseeing the development and management of bilateral relationships.
Estelle also worked for five years at the University of Melbourne, where she lectured in the Master of Public Policy and Management and Master of International Relations. She is currently Chair of the Board at Wild at Heart Community Arts, which helps people who experience disability, mental illness and disadvantage to tell their stories through art and music making.
