Executive Director, Head of ESG & Climate, South Asia at MSCI

Cedric Lagrange is an Executive Director, Head of ESG & Climate, South Asia in MSCI. Based in Singapore, he leads MSCI ESG commercial activities in South Asia. With over 15 years in sustainable investment across markets and assets, Cedric has extensive product knowledge and experience in sustainability, ESG risks and climate strategies.

Cedric was most recently deputy head of MSCI ESG UK, looking after some of the largest Institutional Investors and Banks in the market. Previously, Cedric held various roles at ISS, a specialist corporate governance provider, and at UBS AM in Bruxelles and London.

Cedric holds a MA in Chinese Studies from SOAS London, a MA in European Public Affairs and graduate diploma from Sciences Po Strasbourg.

Having worked in ESG since 2007, Julia has a great understanding of company sustainability assessments and reporting frameworks. She has been involved in the collation and construction of sustainability indices and has contributed to a range of thematic reports on corporate ESG challenges. Through working with a broad range of investors to incorporate ESG criteria into their investment processes, and participation in multi‐stakeholder groups and investor collaborations, Julia also has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement. Julia has a Master in Environmental Management and Development from the Australian National University, and a combined Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration/European Studies and Sustainable Development from the Universities of Münster (Germany) and Twente (Netherlands).

As Manager of Client Services, Michelle brings to RIAA a wealth of experience in structuring and managing responsible investment, measuring and managing (financial and impact) performance, and learning through ongoing monitoring and evaluation. She has a strong commercial outlook and social responsibility for her work and is excited by new opportunities that bring together the resources and expertise required to move capital towards a more sustainable economy.

She is a business professional with a deep knowledge and passion across diverse sectors and industries, understanding the true value of investment extends much wider than a simple financial return.

Michelle has extensive experience working alongside First Nations entrepreneurs to start and grow enterprises, raise capital and achieve impact that enables economic empowerment through the sustainable development of business.

Estelle Parker (Executive Manager at RIAA)

Estelle Parker leads RIAA’s research, certification, policy, standards and working group programs. She brings 20 years’ experience leading strategic initiatives as a diplomat, policy analyst, stakeholder manager and strategic planner with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Estelle has served, inter alia, as Acting Ambassador and Deputy Ambassador to Mexico, Central America and Cuba; Deputy State Director (Victoria); Policy Adviser to the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands; and as Director overseeing the development and management of bilateral relationships.

Estelle also worked for five years at the University of Melbourne, where she lectured in the Master of Public Policy and Management and Master of International Relations. She is currently Chair of the Board at Wild at Heart Community Arts, which helps people who experience disability, mental illness and disadvantage to tell their stories through art and music making.

William Suwandri

Senior Responsible Investment Analyst at RIAA

William is a Senior Responsible Investment Analyst at RIAA, taking lead on the implementation of the Responsible Investment Standard and Guidance Notes through assessments of financial products. William has coverage over impact strategies alongside all the different spectrums of responsible investment practices.

Before joining RIAA as Responsible Investment Analyst, William had previous internship experience in Corporate Banking.

William has a Master of Management in Finance from The University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Monash University.
