As Manager of Client Services, Michelle brings to RIAA a wealth of experience in structuring and managing responsible investment, measuring and managing (financial and impact) performance, and learning through ongoing monitoring and evaluation. She has a strong commercial outlook and social responsibility for her work and is excited by new opportunities that bring together the resources and expertise required to move capital towards a more sustainable economy.

She is a business professional with a deep knowledge and passion across diverse sectors and industries, understanding the true value of investment extends much wider than a simple financial return.

Michelle has extensive experience working alongside First Nations entrepreneurs to start and grow enterprises, raise capital and achieve impact that enables economic empowerment through the sustainable development of business.

CEO of RIAA

Simon operates at the intersection of economics, finance and sustainability and has extensive international experience as an economic adviser, investment analyst and sustainability consultant across finance, corporate and not for profit sectors.

Simon works with RIAA’s 450+ member organisations with the goal of delivering on RIAA’s mission of promoting, advocating for, and supporting approaches to responsible investment that align capital with achieving a healthy and sustainable society, environment and economy.

Simon is active across the region and internationally in responsible investment and sustainable finance initiatives. He sits as an advisory member to the Australian Sustainable Finance Institute, working group member of the Toitū Tahua Centre for Sustainable Finance, Chair of the Global Sustainable Investment Alliance, as well as a member of the National Advisory Board on Impact Investing in New Zealand.

With a combined 10 years of experience in ESG investment and certification of financial services entities, Shalini is accountable for the management and delivery of RIAA's Certification Program, Sustainability Ratings and associated projects.

Prior to joining RIAA, Shalini held various roles with organisations including B Lab Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, Minderoo Foundation – Walk Free, the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors and the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Investment. Her experience also extends to policy guidance for corporate reporting, as she represented institutional investor interests on the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department Working Group on Human Trafficking and Slavery in Supply Chains.

William Suwandri

Senior Responsible Investment Analyst at Responsible Investment Association Australasia

William is a Senior Responsible Investment Analyst at RIAA, taking lead on the implementation of the Responsible Investment Standard and Guidance Notes through assessments of financial products. William has coverage over impact strategies alongside all the different spectrums of responsible investment practices.

Before joining RIAA as Responsible Investment Analyst, William had previous internship experience in Corporate Banking.

William has a Master of Management in Finance from The University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Monash University.
