Shara is an Associate Director within Asset Management at the Clean Energy Finance Corporation and oversees the management of the organisation’s debt capital markets portfolio of AUD1.3b. She has almost 20 years’ experience across the financial sector, including at Westpac, ANZ and Macquarie, as well as several years’ experience actively advocating positive environmental outcomes and managing ESG risk within investments. Shara also has a background in science and has contributed toward research in atmospheric and ocean systems. Drawing on her skills and experience she enjoys actively working with not-for-profits which seek to draw attention and action toward conservation and protection of natural resources and biodiversity.

Liam currently leads ClimateWorks’ efforts to reduce emissions and enhance the capacity of nature to meet climate goals within the Food, Land & Ocean system. Liam has worked on issues relating to agriculture, nature conservation and business for over 10 years in Australia, Vietnam, Kenya, Liberia and the UK. He has worked for a number of high profile Not-For-Profits and research institutes including the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership where he worked with leading companies to develop and embed natural capital approaches into day-to-day business operations and decision-making.

Guy Williams is a Director in Deloitte's Risk Advisory practice supporting a global network of clients to develop science-based solutions to existing and emerging biodiversity challenges. Guy brings a unique balance and perspective to the rapidly evolving natural capital agenda, gained from over twenty years field research in landscape ecology across Asia and the Pacific, academic skills in biodiversity, anthropology, and corporate sustainability, combined with his ongoing work advising business to better manage and effectively value nature. Guy serves on the membership of the Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosure, the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management and Species Survival Commission, and is an active supporter of the Science Based Targets Network. Guy maintains a deep and ongoing interest in community-led conservation, and the use of digital media to support effective conservation strategies.

Romy works within the Land Use Futures program, a multi-year, cross-sectoral initiative supporting the shift to sustainable food and land use in Australia, with national and international partners. Romy leads and directs the development of a research program that aims to fill multiple knowledge gaps in Australian food and land use systems. This includes working with Deakin University and the CSIRO to coordinate modelling and analysis exploring sustainable food and land use futures, in order to inform the development of actions and recommendations to achieve a more sustainable food and land use system in Australia.

Romy has over a decade of experience working in scientific research focused on land use and management, and carbon sequestration. Prior to joining Climateworks, Romy worked for the Victorian Government specialising in evaluation, and guiding the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, with partner agencies, to monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of bushfire management on public land.

Romy holds a PhD in Soil Science, Honours in Biology and a Bachelors of Arts and Science from Monash University and a research fellowship at Cornell University (USA).
