RIAA invites members to attend an important member forum in Auckland on 15 May to discuss the responsible investment community's response to the Christchurch terrorist attack.

Since the March attack, NZ responsible investors have been actively responding on topics including weapons exclusions as well as engagement with social media firms.

This forum, to be hosted by NZ Super in Auckland, is for both NZ and Australian members to share insights and responses, to better equip the responsible investment community to play a key role in important responses to Christchurch.

We welcome our members to join us for this important forum, and we encourage Australian members to join by conference call to hear of progress in the NZ market.

Attend to hear more on:

  • A collaborative engagement being led out of NZ with global social media companies
  • Insights to better definitions and parameters regarding the various levels of weapons exclusions
  • Approaches to implementation of exclusions within portfolios, consistent with new legislation
  • Expectations by asset owners on manager consideration of such issues

This event is in conjunction with RIAA's Corporate Engagement Working Group
