Nature and biodiversity are now a big focus for investors and regulators globally, with increasing recognition that nature loss poses both risks and opportunities for business.

The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures was established to provide better information to allow financial institutions and companies to incorporate nature-related risks and opportunities into their strategic planning, risk management and asset allocation decisions. TNFD's beta risk management and disclosure framework helps organisations report and act on evolving nature-related risks.

Join this webinar on using the TNFD framework to learn from experts how TNFD can be applied to your organisation.

This session will comprise a deep dive into piloting and provide participants with an understanding of what is involved in using the TNFD reporting framework. It will provide participants with something practical to take away from the session – a chance to obtain preliminary LEAP gap assessment for their business.

Guy Williams, TNFD Taskforce Member and Nature Lead - Deloitte

Overview of updates contained in version 0.4 of the TNFD framework, which is due for release on 28 March.

Justin Rowntree, Senior Manager - International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM)

ICMM's TNFD piloting work discussion. What have been the lessons learned from the Mining and Metals Sector TNFD Piloting Program so far? What have the challenges been? What are the implications for the development of the TNFD's sector-specific guidance?

Paul O'Connell, Head of HSEQS, Australia & New Zealand - Acciona

A deep-dive into Acciona's TNFD piloting experience, including the challenges faced and opportunities the piloting experience has presented in the infrastructure sector. In the absence of official sector-specific guidance for infrastructure, Paul will explain what Acciona's approach has been to applying the LEAP framework and mapping biodiversity risks and impacts in its activities and supply chain.

Emma Herd, Partner - EY

Overview of the TNFD's LEAP nature risk assessment approach and how it can be applied in practice. How do consultants work with their clients to understand their nature-related risks and opportunities? How can companies use existing information to locate their interface with nature and evaluate their company's dependencies and impacts? What kind of data contributes to the evaluations and what should organisations do if there are gaps in credible data? How should risks and opportunities be assessed? And how can companies prepare themselves to respond?
